My daughter just finished III semester in NITW and she is not happy with her grades. Do u have any idea of revaluation or upgrading her grades, is there possibility? any means?

Regarding your daughter’s grades, there is an option of revaluation, but the application has to be given in the Examination Department few days after the declaration of the results..
But rarely does the Grades change
But if she feels there is a genuine mistake in the grades, she could contact her department for the end semester marks and then tally up and see what grade she is getting or alternatively contact the Examination Department..
But the first option could be met with some discomfort as there was an option given to every student to stay back unti l few days after the examination to personally check the scripts and verify the grades received..
Neverthless she can try..
But most importantly never worry at your grades..
Try to have a decent (consistent as well)performance in every sem.. and build confidence and enjoy the 4 years of college life..

My name is Ranjana, working for an IPC in Mumbai. As part of our IT research we had been to warangal in the first week of this month. Since you are at NIT and passionate about the web I was wondering if you could share your insights on Warangal becoming an IT destination, any companies that are perational etc. Am sorry am completely off the track of what the blog is about.
But for a person who hasnt stayed in a city for more than two years….to vote is short of luxury… My only ID proof as of date is a passport.

First of all, I am may not be the best person to answer that question.The simple reason, I have not been in the industry, to answer an industry related qn.
But this is what I would like to say from a student’s perspective.Warangal is way cheaper than Hyd, Vizag or Vijayawada.There are no big malls or any software enterprise working out of warangal that I am aware of.The only reason I could see could be the cost factor and definitely the talent pool (Warangal has quite a few Engg Colleges).
Probably you would have to work out the transportation costs also. Nearest airport is Hyd. By road you would take around 2 hours to get to warangal.I am not aware of any IT Theme Parks or Technoparks being setup in Warangal.
Its a tough choice.
I guess its a lost cause for now. Yup am aware of the engg colleges. Thanks a tonne.
